The wall mounted USM AV flowmeter is used to measure flow in open channels, surcharged pipes and partially full sewer pipes without the need for a flume or weir. Ideal for fast and simple measurement of municipal storm water, sewer flow, waste water flow and irrigation flow.
The wall mounted USM AV flowmeter is used to measure flow in open channels, surcharged pipes and partially full sewer pipes without the need for a flume or weir. Ideal for fast and simple measurement of municipal storm water, sewer flow, waste water flow and irrigation flow. The Area velocity principle uses a submersible sensor fixed to the bottom of a pipe or channel that measures flow velocity and depth. By entering the channel dimensions the volumetric flow in the channel or pipe is computed and instantaneous flow and totalised volume is displayed. With a 3″ vibrant LCD graphics display and a 4-button interface, programming is extremely simple and user friendly in both metric and imperial units. The USM-AVF comes complete with a 20-year internal data logger, a 4-20mA output, a RS485 Modbus communications port and 3 fully programmable relays.

The USM Area Velocity meter comes with a sensor for insertion into a pipe or channel.
Choose the length of sensor cable so that the display can be located outside the pipe or channel.
The sensor must be fixed into the pipe or enclosure using either a fixed bracket which is screwed into the pipe or channel wall or the adjustable plastic spring band which allows the insertion into a pipe without permanent fixing.
